The Ladder for the Black Country Apprenticeship Awards are back for 2025.
The awards are backed by the Express & Star, Halesowen College, Dudley College of Technology, Sandwell College, Doocey Group and the West Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network. There are 14 categories open, with the winners to be announced at Copthorne Hotel at Merry Hill on November 20.

The Ladder website offers extensive information on the opportunities available, whether you are a candidate looking at apprenticeships, an employer considering the apprentice route or a training provider ready to offer support.
Working to upskill the region
Launched in 2014, the Ladder for the Black Country has helped thousands of people into work, got hundreds of employers engaged with apprenticeships and provided expert support for training providers, as well as schools and colleges.
Leading local publisher Midland News Association teamed up with community development group The Vine Trust and training provider Performance Through People, along with leading public and private sector orgnanisations, to deliver the campaign to secure new futures for people across the four areas.
