Part of the Government’s official National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), the event aims to inspire people of all ages to explore apprenticeships as a rewarding career pathway.
Now in its 8th year, the Big Assembly attracted over 160,000 participants last year, and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger.
With Workpays, the organisation behind the event, hoping to build on the success of previous years.
Each year, the Big Assembly highlights inspiring stories from apprentices and employers across industries.
Previous contributors have included the BBC, JCB, and Accenture.
This year’s event is sponsored by Compass Group UK & Ireland, who will host it at their Xcelerate with Edgbaston Regional Community Skills and Learning Hub.
The panel includes Jonathan Foot, Compass Group’s Director of Skills and Early Careers, alongside apprentices from Drax, Arnold Clark, East Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, and WorldSkills UK, alongside featured videos from IEA and Tarmac showcasing real-life apprenticeship experiences.
Alex Glasner, Managing Director of Workpays, said: “Apprenticeships are often misunderstood but remain one of the best ways for people of all ages to launch their careers and thrive in their fields.”
